Hi, I'm Stu Whitewood, the owner of Direct Appliance Repairs.
I started the business after spending many years working within the appliance repair industry and seeing far too many homeowners being overcharged, misled, or encouraged to replace appliances that could have been repaired quickly and affordably. I knew there had to be a better way.
That's why I founded Direct Appliance Repairs — to provide honest, reliable appliance repairs at fair prices, backed by genuine customer service and expert workmanship.

“My Miele tumble dryer recently started making a metal on metal noise every time I used it so I contacted Stu. Stu came out as arranged but, typically, the tumble dryer didn't make the noise when he was here. Stu spent an hour or so diligently investigating what could be causing the noise so as to eliminate possible causes. Apparently, a common cause is worn carbon brushes but Stu said they still had several years life left in them so didn't need changing. I fully expected to pay a call out charge for his time but he insisted on not charging me as he said he hadn't fixed anything. To say I was taken aback is an understatement. He said he preferred to give good customer service. As another reviewer said, it's rare to come across someone with such integrity, skill and respect for their customers. I would not hesitate in highly recommending Stu. He is professional, polite, friendly and provides an excellent service. Will certainly use again in the future.”
